Local Groups and Organisations

Strines Recreation Ground is a registered charity. Charity No. 520486

Its role is to provide 'Sports, Recreation, Nature and Landscape Conservation for the benefit of the inhabitants of the area'.

We do this by maintaining its facilities and land holdings. It is managed by a team of 4 elected trustees, who are all volunteers.

St. Paul's Church

Our local church was built in 1880 on land donated by the Print works. Its welcoming interior is the venue for the village annual Christmas Carol Service.

Inside the white corrugated iron building you will be surprised by a timber lined interior, two-manual pipe organ, comfortable chairs and a warm welcome.
