Strines Recreation Ground is a registered charity. Charity No. 520486
Its role is to provide 'Sports, Recreation, Nature and Landscape Conservation for the benefit of the inhabitants of the area'.
We do this by maintaining its facilities and land holdings. It is managed by a team of 4 elected trustees, who are all volunteers.
Strines Fishing Club
With one of the best fishing ponds in the area this a great club to join for local anglers. If you are member of the SRG then you are entitled to fish these waters. None SRG members need to apply to join the Disley and New Mills Angling Club.
St. Paul's Church
Our local church was built in 1880 on land donated by the printworks. Its welcoming interior is the venue for the villageannual Christmas Carol Service.
Inside the white corrugated iron building you will be surprised by a timber lined interior, two-manual pipe organ, comfortable chairs and a warm welcome.
